The detection range of the sensor is related to the moving speed and size of moving object, mounting height, installation height and angle, installation site, reflectors around the sensor etc. The data in the document is typical value and tested by a 165cm person in an open indoor area.

The detection range at wall mounting will be longer at ceiling mounting. Please reduce detection sensitivity at wall mounting or contact us to confirm the sensor data settings.

5. Start Process & Initialization

 

When powered on, the light will turn on for 10 seconds. The sensor does not detect moving signals during initialization.

8. Application Notice

 

1. The product should be installed by a professional electrician. Please turn off the power before installing, wiring, or changing the setting of the DIP switch.

2. The product has good penetration ability to plastic and wooden objects, but there should be no metal accessories or metal shells, glass shells, etc. In front of and near the antenna of the microwave module, otherwise, it will affect the transmission and reception of the microwave antenna.

3. The product is only suitable for indoor installation. During semi-outdoor or outdoor installation, wind and rain may be regarded as mobile signals to trigger the sensor.

4. The detection distance is related to the moving speed of the moving object, the size of the moving object, the installation height, the installation angle, whether the installation environment is empty, the material of the reflector, and other factors. The detection distances given in the specification are typical values, which are obtained by testers at a height of 165cm and weight of 65kg and tested in an indoor open environment. The detection area of the wall installation will be greatly increased compared with ceiling installation. If wall installation is used, please reduce the sensitivity or contact us to confirm the use setting.

5. Avoid long-term vibrating equipment or moving objects around the sensor, and the vibration signal will be regarded as a moving signal to trigger the sensor.

6. If a pet passes by in the detection area, the sensor may be triggered.

7. The daylight thresholds are measured on a sunny day without shadow and in an ambient light diffuse reflection status. Different environments and climates cause different brightness values that daylight sensors measure.

8. The installation distance between the product and the router is recommended to be greater than 2m, and the installation distance between the product and the router is recommended to be greater than 2m.

9. The installation plane of the product(for example: aluminum substrate, PCB board)needs to be different from the antenna plane of the microwave module by a certain height. The antenna plane of the microwave module should be higher than the nearby plane by more than 5mm to achieve the best detection effect.
